Microblading | Education
Every person heals different & will see healing results over the course of the first month following the initial treatment. The first treatment of hair strokes will appear dark, bold & crisp in the beginning. However, the appearance of fading & flaking may occur during the first few weeks. Fading of the pigment is completely normal & it is important to understand that the touch-up treatment is imperative in creating the finalized look.
*You will need to return for your touch-up treatment no later than 4 weeks after the first treatment.
The area may have some slight swelling & may appear uneven, dry, tender, irritated & have possible redness. This is 100% normal & these symptoms will filter away each day & on an individual basis. DO NOT PICK at any scabbing or itchy areas!
Color will soften or fade between 40-60% after the first treatment. The touch-up treatment will fine-tune any areas that have faded too much or need additional strokes. Please note that Microblading is semi-permanent & will need a color boost every 1-2 years to maintain the natural appearance.
For the first 10 days, please avoid sweating, exercising, sun, or any exertion of any kind.
PLEASE AVOID DIRECT SUNLIGHT 30 DAYS PRIOR & 30 DAYS AFTER THE PROCEDURE.
*1 day will ruin the results if you do not follow the 10 day Aftercare Protocol.
Do not work out on the day of the procedure, as this will expand pores.
Avoid sweating heavily 10-14 days after the procedure. Sweat is essentially salt & WILL prematurely blur, fade, or cause the pigment to not take at all.
Avoid direct shower water on the treated area after the procedure. Please use extreme caution when washing face, as you need to avoid facial soaps, soaps & shampoos from getting on the treated area.
Days 1-10 you may delicately wash brows with any anti-bacterial soap (Dial) morning & night.
Pat completely dry with a clean tissue. Apply a rice-grain amount of aftercare ointment provided to you with a clean Q-tip. Do not over apply, as this will suffocate your skin & delay healing.
Never apply ointment to wet skin.
*Please consult your physician should any irritation or infection occur.
